     Our young men are learning there is more to life than basketball. We are investing our time in making a difference in the lives of inner city youth to reach their potential through academics, athletics and social skills. 

 

     Your tax exempt investments will be used for uniforms, transportation to different cities for AAU tournaments and for the opportunities for our young scholars ages 9 through 15 to be introduced to a world outside of D.C., Maryland and Northern Virgina area.             Ebbon A. Allen was raised in a single parent household in Ward 7, S.E. Washington, D.C. Ebbon is a graduate of Morehouse College with a Bachelors of Arts degree in English. Mr. Allen is currently the program coordinator for Howard University’s Upward Bound Math and Science program. Ebbon oversees 50 high school students in Prince George’s County Public Schools in pursuing their dreams of attending college.

            Mr. Allen started mentoring urban males in 2004 at Ideal Academy Public Charter School in Washington, D.C. through the Young Brothers of Ideal Mentoring Program. Soon after, Ebbon Allen and Roderick Hobbs pioneered The Young Men of Drew Metoring Program at Drew Freeman Middle School in Suitland, Maryland; which was featured in the Gazette Newspaper in 2007. Mr. Allen was also voted Educator of the Month at Hospitality High Public Charter School in Washington, D.C. in 2011. In 2013, Seed Public Charter School in Ward 7 invited Ebbon to mentor sophomore males in life lessons, self appreciation, and well rounded citizenship.

            Mr. Allen continued to pursue his education through graduate level courses at Trinity Washington University and The College of New Rochelle. In 2014, Mr. Allen was awarded the Martin Luther King Jr. Drum Major for Justice Community Service Award by the Morehouse College D.C. Alumni Chapter Association. Ebbon also introduced the mentoring collaboration initiative between the  Morehouse College D.C. Alumni Association and C.W. Harris Elementary School. Mr. Allen is now the president of the DMV Running Rebels (Determined Men With Values) AAU Organization. Mr. Allen’s mission is to provide leadership, motivation, and collective consciousness to the youth of urban America.
